Toilet Keeps Running Dual Flush

Toilet Keeps Running Dual Flush – If you have ever tried to open a dual-flush toilet, you may have noticed that the lid has been cleaned. But what? No clips or screws.

Opening a double sink faucet like my Armitage Shanks1 Ascania can be difficult. Their covers are held in place by the Geberit flush button mechanism2. The socket, mounted in the lid of the cistern, is held by a plastic screw attached to the inside of the cistern.

Press a button all the way down and hold it down (the toilet will flush). Turn your finger so that your nail catches on the other button. Both buttons have a nail notch on the side. Insert your finger into the lock and pull out the button. The ball will click out of position ready to be removed from the socket. My buttons have a long plastic rod that connects to the function of the actual buttons in the cistern. Be careful not to offend them.

Now, with your index finger on the other hand, tie the screw into the second ball in the same way and pull it out with pressure.

Look in the socket and you will see the plastic screw that you remember so far. He is the one holding the lid. It should not be too tight. unscrew in a counter-clockwise direction

With a nail with a wide flat blade 1 mm thick. Do not grind the soft plastic of the screws with a screwdriver that is too small.

Silver button hole (socket) mounted by the cover without thread in the screw hole. The screws are just attached firmly so it can’t fall off easily. The thread he screws in is in a flat plastic slide plate held by a post, called a bridge, connected to the flush module/valve below the socket.

The sliding plate in the bridge (height adjuster) is loose. It moves horizontally so that its hole lines up with the socket on the lid.

Be careful not to accidentally push the bridge. It falls easily, but it is difficult to pull back. The following image should help with that:

Just push it a little and it will click into place 7.25mm lower. (7.25 mm is the distance between the holes in the ratchets.)

NOTE: Due to the flexibility of the plastic bridge, one side can be lowered one step more than the other side. The Bridge seems to avoid this, but the highest side must be pushed until both sides are at the same height.

Press the buttons on the two ratchets (shown in the picture). This will press the pawls together into the mechanism to separate them from the ratchets. Then raise the bridge. This is difficult because plastic is too strong to squeeze. I can’t squeeze both at the same time, even with a cistern. When the machine is in place, it will be easier to use the ‘third hand’ to pull the bridge up while using both hands to squeeze.

My suggestion: Click one paw at a time and raise one side of the bridge a notch, then go back with the other paw. The plastic is flexible enough that the lugs on the outside are an exit from the steps. More than that and the plastic can break.

Finally, the bridge should sit under the socket. The slide plate also has two holes for the ButtonSpindles3 to pass through on their way to connect to the actual buttons below.

When assembling the buttons, start with the high bridge of the fork. When the cistern cover is on, it will push the bridge to almost the height. Then, through the hole in the lid of the cistern, see how the sliding plate is installed. Shine a light to let it shine.

Use a pointing device such as a thin head, pencil, or button to insert into the center. Move the panel and between the three holes to receive the socket.

To join the big white phone in the panel, the hole in the knob (using a silver cup) must be lined up with the hole in the panel. This is done by using a spindle button to keep the hole balanced as you tighten the screws. See the picture below:

The socket can be connected and the large screw can be turned to join the thread. Then the socket can be pushed into the lid and lower the bridge when it is lower. Then the screws can be closed to finish the job by pulling the socket and the bridge connected to the cover between them.

NOTE: When putting the shafts in the holes, the black ones have a larger diameter than the green ones.

NOTE: The buttons can be on the frame as long as each button is rotated 180° to create a gap between them. Then the screwdriver will go into the middle to reach the big screw.

WARNING: If the cover has been removed (or simply forced up) by someone who does not know how to handle it, then the skid plate, bridge or other parts may break or break and must be replaced2.

To remove the cistern with the lid removed, slide something appropriate through the hole in the Bridge slide plate and push on the flush buttons, such as using a button with a connector, a screwdriver or fingers if the place is allowed.
