Sip Status 404 Not Found – Now I am flashing SIP 404 response status code when working with CloudPBX and Cloud Connector Edition (CCE) in Skype for Business Online. “404 Not Found” error is masked by Skype for Business Client as “Unable to reach +1XXXXXXXXXXXX” during an outgoing PSTN call.
First, don’t worry if you see a lot of 404 Not Found in your .UccApiLog. This is expected to happen when the Skype for Business client tries to communicate with contacts or subscriptions in external domains for objects that are not configured with federation or are not part of the same domain.

The above is expected, but what if everything is configured correctly and you get a “404 Not Found” condition on an outgoing PSTN call when using CCE?
Softphone Error Troubleshooting
A successful PSTN call to CCE has a SIP “Test 101” followed by a SIP “101 Progress Report”. The progress report highlights the connection between Skype for Business Online and CCE, indicating that the call was forwarded to Outbound Routing, indicated by the Next Pass Attempt message. From this point we know the call is on the CCE and any SIP errors are between the CCE and your PSTN connection.
The call flow is slightly different with “404 Not Found”. There is the same SIP “101 Trying”, but immediately followed by a SIP “404 Not Found”. What we found is that Skype for Business Online does a Reverse Number Lookup (RNL) for the number dialed in your domain, which of course doesn’t match, because we’re trying to make a PSTN call and the call drops. The call never undergoes Outbound Routing and is not forwarded to CCE. This last statement is very important, don’t go down the wrong rabbit hole of support loops. Most CCE issues are indicated by SIP “Server Timeout 504”: /2017/05/sfb-cce-504/. Incident-specific CCTV systems must rely on accurate and realistic detection. Although many IP cameras provide video motion detection, using this detection method alone can be challenging in outdoor environments with constantly changing lighting and weather conditions. , resulting in these conditions potentially causing false alarms. Once the Redwall SIP is installed on a wall or pole, preferably at a height of 4m or at least 2.3m, the View Finder must be connected to the sensor via two holes to secure it. The correct sight plate must be installed – every SIP model has a matching sight plate. When viewing the plate, the sensor must be adjusted to ensure that it is based on the maximum detection distance. For example, for the SIP-3020, the sensor must be connected to the ground at a distance of 30 m (not directed to the sky). Also, there should not be a spot right at the edge of the safety zone, instead it is better to leave 1m on both sides. If the detection area is 20 m wide, it is better to center the view 11 m from the edge on each side. If necessary, masking sticks can be used to mask off part of the detection area.
