To find equivalent fractions, multiply or divide the numerator and denominator of a fraction by any number, as long as the top and bottom are the same. If you divide the base fraction, the numerator and denominator must be whole numbers to be valid. To check the result, use cross multiplication. Multiply the denominator of the first fraction by the numerator of the second fraction, then multiply the first numerator by the second denominator. If the 2 answers are the same, the fractions are the same. If you need to know how to solve for fraction variables, keep reading!
