There is nothing better than baked popcorn. It has been a family favorite for as long as I can remember. Learned from my dad, learned to make popcorn on the stove at my dad’s knee, etc. Well that’s not true, my dad taught me, but I don’t know where he learned how to pop popcorn on the stove. All I know is the crazy popcorn is the best.

How many popcorn kernels to use depends on how big your pan is and how much popcorn you want to make. Here are some guidelines:
How To Make Healthy Air Popped Popcorn On The Stove
Step 1: Place 2 tablespoons (depending on how big a pan you are using) in the bottom of a medium/large pan. The oil should cover the bottom of the pan generously. Heat a pan over medium/high heat.
Step 5: Let the popcorn pop. Gently slide the kernels into the pan for the first few minutes to avoid burning them. When the popcorn actually starts popping, it doesn’t really matter, because when it does, things move along nicely. When the sizzling noise subsides, remove the pan from the heat. The entire pop process takes only 3-4 minutes.
Step 6: Easy Peasy is enough to make the perfect popcorn. Popcorn cooked this way tastes better than popcorn cooked in the microwave. When the popcorn is done, add a pinch of salt. We use Morton Popcorn Salt, it’s good and really sticks to the popcorn. Finally, add melted butter if desired. And WE love it! Now you know how to make the perfect popcorn. It’s very easy and the finished product is 1000 times better than microwave popcorn. You’ll love it… we promise!

Add a pinch of salt and a dollop of butter and I guarantee this will be the only way to make popcorn in the future!
Technically, you only need corn kernels to make popcorn. But adding a little olive oil, salt and butter makes it 10 times tastier.
Most recipes call for using a paper bag to make microwave popcorn. But I’ve tried two other methods that still produce great results. For all these methods, I first mix the kernels with a little oil. Here are your options:
