However, if you’d rather not sign into Chrome but still want some of the benefits of a synced browser, you might be in luck. Google recently announced some changes to Chrome where, even if you don’t sync your browsers, you can still get features like auto-filling credit card information as long as you’re signed in to a Google account in the browser.

Instead of pulling out your credit card to fill out an online purchase form, you can choose to let Chrome fill it out for you. According to Google,

“When you’re signed in to Chrome on your laptop, you can use payment methods previously saved in your Google Account to fill out payment forms. And you can use this feature without turning on Chrome sync. For those worried about security, don’t worry, you still need to enter your card’s CVC number to go ahead and complete the purchase. This means that even if you forget to sign out of your browser, other users cannot use your credit card information to make purchases without your permission. One of the benefits of using Google Chrome on all your devices is the ability to sync your autofill data like your address and credit card number between all your devices. If you’re following Chrome on a laptop or desktop, the steps are almost identical, although the interface looks slightly different from the screenshots below taken on Android.

First, you need to navigate to the Chrome autofill settings menu. To do this, open Chrome and tap/click the ellipsis icon in the upper right corner of the interface. From there, select Settings and search for Payment Methods and Addresses and more.
In each of these menus, you can enable or disable the option to automatically fill out forms on web pages. To do this, simply turn the element on or off.
After selecting one of the items, you’ll be taken to a new page and greeted with a similar on/off switch, along with all the autofill data Chrome has collected over the life of your account. More on that in the next few steps.
How To Use Chrome’s Autofill Anywhere On Your Iphone
Under Addresses and more, you’ll see a list of all the addresses saved in your Google account for autofill purposes. To add a new address, scroll to the bottom of the list and tap Add Address. From there you can enter your name, address, phone number and even your email address. Tap Done when done.
If you want to edit or delete an address, simply tap on one of the saved entries. You can either replace the text in one of the lines to edit it, or select the trash can at the top of the interface to permanently delete the address.
On a computer, all the different addresses should appear under the power button. You can scroll to the top of the list and click Add if you want to enter a new address, or tap the ellipsis icon next to each item to either edit or remove the address.

Go back to the main settings page and tap on Payment Methods. As with addresses, select the “Add Map” button at the bottom of the list.
Here you will need to enter the name on the card, credit/debit card number, expiry date and select a billing address from the addresses entered above. Tap Done when everything is complete.
To edit a card, simply select one from the list and change the information. Note that if you originally added the card through something like the Google Play Store or Google Pay, you’ll need to edit it through a web browser window on your phone. Just tap the edit button to go to the correct website.

The same applies to removing a card. You can do this directly from this Chrome menu if it was added via browser, or click the “Edit” button to go to the website in question to remove it from your Google account.
