This will teach you how to disable Norton Safe Web extension on Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
Simple Ways To Disable Norton Safe Web

While updating the software on a friend’s Windows 8.1 computer, he noticed that he could no longer see the Norton Safe Web (NSW) icons in the search results. He used Internet Explorer with Google as his homepage and search engine. He had installed Norton Internet Security (NIS) and the Norton Toolbar was present in his browser. At the time, I couldn’t find a solution to his problem, so I went home and ran some tests on my Windows 7 PC which also uses NIS.
The featured image at the top of the page shows what it looks like when it is working properly and the anNSW icon is selected.
I use Google as my homepage in Internet Explorer 11 and installed NIS to protect my Windows 7 desktop computer. NIS comes with the Norton Toolbar. Norton Toolbar is a browser add-on that checks the current web page and Google search results for security issues. If websites want to be seen in a positive light by Norton, they ask Norton to review their sites and give them a good health check. (I’ve done this with this website.) This is then demonstrated in Google and other search engine results that display one of four icons at the end of the page link.

Another function of NSW is to test current page displayed in browser and display security status in Norton Toolbar as shown below:
When doing random searches using Google in Internet Explorer 11, I noticed that I was also not getting the NSW icons returned in the search results. I chose to refresh the page by clicking the browser refresh button
While holding down the Shift key. Then I saw NSW icons in the search results. I turned it off

(by clicking these buttons) Norton Safe Search and Norton Safe Sharing features in the Norton toolbar settings (available by selecting:
Icon on the far right of the toolbar), but it had no effect. I was still able to get NSW icons back in search results after refreshing the browser window.
I paused to think. I remembered that Google search gives instant results because search terms are typed letter by letter. I realized that when Google is running as fast as it is, Norton’s servers haven’t had time to assess the site’s safety rating, so the results can’t be displayed at the speed at which Google delivers its results. However, when the browser is refreshed, the full search term is already entered and a standard search is performed, and Norton’s servers are properly probed and respond.

I then went to Settings and then www.google.co.uk on the Google search page and saw that Google asked a question and offered three choices under:
The radio buttons to the left of the three items are used to select one. I had selected “Only when my computer is fast enough”. I changed my selection to “Never show instant results” and performed some additional testing. The change you make should be saved by selecting the blue Save button in the lower right corner of the window. It might be better to restart the browser afterwards, because I noticed some inconveniences when changing this setting.
I quickly discovered that changing the search parameter solved the problem. My Google search now returns NSW icons with all search results every time.

NOTE: I fixed the issue I was having with NSW icons not showing up with Google Chrome browser. I found that Chrome requires the Google Instant Predictions settings to be changed, as does Internet Explorer. Once the settings are changed, the Chrome browser must be restarted to feel the effect.
I advised my friend who uses Windows 8.1 to read this post and gave him further instructions via email on how to change his Google search settings. He said he was successful and could now see New South Wales icons in Google search results.
